Spine with gilt bands and blue morocco label with gilt title. Pale yellow edges. = A seldom-seen work by the German geologist, naturalist and educator Karl Ludwig Georg von Raumer (1783-1865). This is one of his earliest publications, published in the year that he became a professor of mineralogy in Breslau. The content is mainly on petrology of the Erzgebirge, for instance: Ueber die Sienitformation, and Fragmente eines Aufsatzes über die Flössgebirge.Light shelf wear; otherwise an excellent, spotless, unmarked copy.
