AIR CANADA STAFF - Come Along with Us - Air Canada Flight Attendant Training Guide

Montreal: Air Canada, 1973. First Edition. Plastic Comb. This vintage Air Canada flight attendant training manual was issued to new-hire flight attendants who were required to study it before arriving at Training School in Montreal for 5.5 weeks of tutelage under Miss Anna Johnson and her team of instructors. The table of contents includes forty-seven topics such as Air Canada Base, Aircraft Numbers, Berkeley Hotel (where trainees stayed while in Montreal), City Codes, IATA, Loading Bridge, Personal Appearance, Posting to Base, Salary, Vocabulary, Wardrobe, and much more. 178 pages with several black and white reproductions of photos, maps, and drawings. Undated but we estimate this copy was printed circa 1973. Apparently the prior owner studied quite hard as this copy is heavily worn, contains many markings, and its red cirlox binding has mostly broken away, thus the pages are barely holding on. That said, this copy is a wonderful memento of the days when flying was so much more fun - and security was so much less. Nostalgic reading for anyone who served with Air Canada in decades past, and a pleasant throwback for modern-day flight attendant recruits.; 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall; Air Canada - Flight Attendants, Flight Attendant Training, Air Canada Ephemera. Fair .
