 1564591952,
Calistoga: Circa 1970s. Watercolor . 22 x 21.5 inches. Repaired. Provenance: Suzy Locke. Bev Judd, a beloved Sebastopol artist, poet, musician and widow of the late master craftsman, Ron Judd, died on April 25 at age 76. Bev used her art, her music and her life as a way to express her profoundly spiritual relationship with the world. Her art forms were constantly evolving as she took delight in finding new materials and different ways to share her passion, curiosity and enthusiasm. In 1966, Bev and her husband, Ron Judd a master ceramicist, moved to Occidental. Bev was first a weaver and then an accomplished watercolorist and collage maker. She also taught yoga. In 1989, the couple moved to Sebastopol, and Bev continued her evolution as an artist experimenting enthusiastically with other art forms including assemblage and computer generated images. Bev and Ron Judd shared a art-filled life together, each maintaining their own independence while they fostered the other’s creativity. .
