"1893. ...Weyrauch provides not only extensive nn. and commentary, but also a biography of Mayer: Dibner, Heralds, 157: 'The personal misfortunes of this genius....have dulled the brilliance of his contributions to the mechanic of energy convertibility. From the expenditure of animal energy he developed the broader concept that all the natural forces were in univeral conservation and remained so as a law of nature. He held that work could be converted to heat and heat to work that when air is compressed the work appears as heat, and from this he calculated a numerical value for its mechanical equivalent': This third and best edition contains two of the most important papers published in the history of science. It were Helmholtz and Joule who received credit for announcing the law of conservation of energy. Roestvlekjes, verzuring, waterschade, scheurtjes, stempels, defecten aan band en papier worden in de regel allemaal vermeld. Voorwaarden bij de verkoop volgens de richtlijnen opgesteld door NVvA en ILAB. Prijzen excl. btw [Nederland en Europa] en porto, behoudens houders van een BTW registratie nummmer. Porto tegen kostprijs. Normaalgesproken levering met factuur in het geval van bekende relaties, veelal wordt gevraagd de factuur bij vooruitbetaling te voldoen. Oudere stukken worden aangetekend en verzekerd verstuurd. Koeriersdiensten Fedex, DHL etc. mogelijk op verzoek, kosten voor de kopende partij.
