Dual post, half leather album, with green cloth boards. 30 leaves of stiff mounting stock, 97 images, generally 1 - 3 pictures per leaf. Each image affixed to a mounting leaf, captioned with mss writing, some with white identification number in the plate. Album: 10-7/8" x 15-5/8". Images primarily of 3 sizes, 7-3/4" x 9-5/8", 6-1/8" x 8-1/8", 4" x 5". General wear to album, with piece missing at base of spine. Images vary in appearance, most generally sharp & distinct, some show fading & yellowing. Withal, an uncommon survivor in About Very Good condition. This album was compiled by the Knights of Columbus who had a club at St.-Nazaire, then the principal debarkation port for American troops. The album primarily documents those units & individuals that had the opportunity for a momentary respite at this K of C club.
