[Chateau de Boissia, Clairvaux, Jura and Paris]: Published by the Singer-Polignac Foundation through the Trianon Press, 1966. First edition. 1 of 388 copies. Green cloth w/ dustwrapper. Breuil visited Rhodesia (then Southern Rhodesia) in 1948, and then again in 1950. His study of the area shows affinities with the White Lady, and traces of immigrants from the north, several thousand years before the white settlers of present day. This is the first publication for many of the paintings, and were largely unknown prior. Regions include Dundabari, Chamavara, Mbara, The Chibi Reserve; the White Rhino shelter; Nswatugi, Makuymbe and Goromonzi. When working, Breuil traced from rock face whenever possible, often under extremely difficult conditions.
