Glasgow: The Practical Machanic and Engineer's Magazine, 1847. Second series, volume 2 (hardback). 8vo (26cm by 20cm), [ii], 298pp. 23 plates (most of which are folding). Bound in half brown calf, marbled boards, title label to the spine. Boards heavily rubbed, light stain to the spine, preliminary pages foxed, repaired tears to two of the plates, light scuffing to the leading edge of a few pages. Overall, this copy is in good minus condition. The plates are extrememly interesting from an industrial archaeology perspective, with particular emphasis on railways (bridges, locomotives, engines etc).
