Wonderful collection of letters written by Lockley from his island home to his brother-in-law, the naturalist John Buxton (subsequently author of the New Naturalist monograph on the Redstart). Buxton was languishing in a POW camp having been captured on active service with the commandos. With splendid illustrations by Tunnicliffe. SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION.
