Hardback with dustjacket. ¶ A biography of the English painter Benjamin Robert Haydon [ 1786 - 1846 ] who specialised in grand historical pictures. This second edition of the book contains an extra six chapters based upon Haydon's diaries which were published in full in between 1960 - 1963.
