Garrison / MacHenry, p. 367: 'He demonstrated that trypan blue injected into the cerebrospinal fluid will cause the brain to be coloured a deep blue, whereas intravenous trypan blue does not stain the brain.': Clarke / O'Malley, p. 749: 'Goldmann was the first to carry out a series of experiments that proved the existence of the blood - brain barrier. Using vital dyes, and in particular trypan blue, Goldmann studied the permeability of the barrier. By the intravenous and intrathecal administration of trypan blue he found that the barrier was impermeable to its larger molecules, and he concluded that the choroid plexuses were the site of the holdup.... In it [the monograph] he referred to chemotherapy of the nervous system which was not, however, to be introduced for 30 years.'

Roestvlekjes, verzuring, waterschade, scheurtjes, stempels, defecten aan band en papier worden in de regel allemaal vermeld. Voorwaarden bij de verkoop volgens de richtlijnen opgesteld door NVvA en ILAB. Prijzen excl. btw [Nederland en Europa] en porto, behoudens houders van een BTW registratie nummmer. Porto tegen kostprijs. Normaalgesproken levering met factuur in het geval van bekende relaties, veelal wordt gevraagd de factuur bij vooruitbetaling te voldoen. Oudere stukken worden aangetekend en verzekerd verstuurd. Koeriersdiensten Fedex, DHL etc. mogelijk op verzoek, kosten voor de kopende partij.
