Period dark brown half leather bindings with marbled paper boards. Each volume now protected by a custom cut clear mylar wrapper. 3 volumes: [6], iv, 336; 322; 322 pp. Crown 8vo. Per OCLC, "A fictional account of an actor's journey through Scotland." Originally issued in 1827 as the final 3v part of a 9 volume memoir, which began publication in 1808. Rare, with RBH showing no sales history for this 1850 edition, and, at the time of cataloguing, OCLC recording just 2 institutional holdings, of which just one is in the US. Bindings worn & soiled, boards rubbed. Leather chipping at spine ends, especially Vol II. Vol I with A4 [last page of dedication] bound after A6 [2nd leaf of preface]. Prior owner signature(s).
