ROBINSON, Albert Alonzo (1844-1918) - Signature This noted civil engineer rose up from the bottom rung of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad, joining as a young man and eventually becoming vice president and general manager; in 1893 the ailing railroad named someone else as president, at which time he wisely resigned and became president of the Mexican Central Railway. Typical "A.A. Robinson" signature on a 4¼" X 1" slip, with a purple typed "I am, sincerely yours" at upper left and typed "2ND V.P. & CHIEF ENG'R." at lower right. Very good. Mildly age toned; signature in a pale ink. .
