Printed for Thomas Cox, at the Lamb under the Royal Exchange,, 1746. 4to., First Edition, with 33 charming copper-engraved portrait-vignettes and numerous copper-engraved tail-pieces in the text, some light marginal age-staining throughout; contemporary calf, expertly rebacked in calf to style, raised bands, second compartment with red leather label ruled and lettered in gilt, a remarkably bright, crisp copy. The portraits and tail-pieces (depicting the monuments) are by Thomas Kitchin, formerly apprenticed to Bowen and later Hydrographer to the King. VERY SCARCE.
