Near fine/very good. Jacket lightly edgeworn and a bit age toned, with several small edge chips (mainly at spine head/tail); nonauthorial gift inscription on front flyleaf. A tight and quite handsome early printing of the title that began it all -- one of the longest-running juvenile series in American publishing history: the 72-volume "Bobbsey Twins" series (1904-79). Ad at rear and on front jacket flap lists first five titles only (ending with "The Bobbsey Twins at Snow Ledge," published 1914), thus dating this copy to the mid-teens. A superbly bright copy in a lovely jacket. The first and earliest printings in this series are seldom found with jacket. .
