 1545420131,
Worcester, Mass: , 1945. 1st Printing. SIGNED. White paper, loose leaf, typed in black ink, signed in black ink, now housed in a mylar sleeve. Broadside. 11" x 8-1/2". A VG copy. Folded/creased twice, age toning to leaf, chipping and small tears to edges, large chip to lower corner, large tear from edge to middle (through the word "companion"), all still legible, overall bright. Paul Alvin had a companion that he bought along with him on his lecture circuits, his name was Herman Beck. He used Herman as a "horrid example of the RAVAGES OF DRINK". He eventually passed away and Paul was writing Murray Marvin to see if he "would accompany [him] on [his] Spring Tour to take poor Herman's place. Overall a strange letter from a prominent lecturer of the temperance movement!.
