SAVOLDI, Angelo, Jr. (1914-2013) - Inscribed Photograph Signed

 1554314241,
A near-centenarian at his death in a profession with a young mortality rate, this Italian-born American pro wrestler was popular in the '50s and '60s, a three time NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion (1958-64) who later became a wrestling promoter and founded International Championship Wrestling; in 2004 he was inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame. IPS (magazine), 7¼" X 9", n.p. n.y. [circa 1960]. Very good. Small tape stain at each corner (not affecting signature), else unflawed. Full-length portrait of a smiling Savoldi in wrestling trunks, boldly inscribed and signed by him in black ballpoint at left center: "to / Don / Angelo / Savoldi." Nice image from the height of his fame. .
