Richard Doyle (1824-1883) was an illustrator for the periodical "Punch" ca. 1845. He was the uncle of Sherlock Holmes's Arthur Conan Doyle.. The title-page shows 'The mail train of Dover. Brown, Jones, an Robinson starting on their travels. The first edition appeared in 1854.
