MEDLYCOTT, Edward B. - Sketchbook.

Malta, December 1st. 1854. Oblong 8vo. sketchbook, 155 x 240 mm. with a number of finished watercolour and pencil scenes of the country, with some unfinished sketches in pencil. Comprises 8 finished watercolours plus 4 double page panoramic views of Valetta and other scenes> 5 pencil drawings plus a double page pencil panorama> and hald a dozen unfinished sketches. Sir Edward Bradford Medlycott [1832 - 1902], 4th Baronet Medlycott served in the Royal Navy during the Crimean Campaign, travelling through the Mediterranean. Here are his visions of Malta in 1854/5 presumably during a stop over.
