Driver, by order of the Commissioners of the Land Revenue appointed by an Act of Parliament passed in the 26th year of King George III.

William Faden, 1789. Large hand-coloured engraved plan, 1660 x 1770 mm. mounted on linen in 18 sections, together with the hand-coloured index map, 560 x 590 mm. in 2 sections on linen. Very slight wear to the cotton borders of the index map and a little soiling to the lower edge. The whole enclosed in a contemporary leather box, recently restored. Rare, especially in this form. The few other copies which we have traced are bound in atlas format. At some time this copy has been used for display as there are three linen hooks on the top edge for hanging.
