Contemporary black morocco, spine gilt in compartments, with gilt title; gilt title on frontcover surrounded by ornamental gilt borders, the same borders on backcover, gilt sides; top edge gilt, uncut, decorated endpapers with gilt borders inside. (iv),106,(ii:blank) pp. With original illustrated frontcover in colours, 'Edition sur vlin', pasted in. With 100 photogravures: coloured frontispiece, 76 other plates and 23 illustrations printed in different colours: sepia, green, etc. All the plates with tissue guards. 'Tirages de luxe': one of the 425 numbered copies 'sur Hollande', number 236. - A few lightbrown spots only on the tissue guards. A nice, complete copy in an attractive binding.
