Rasmussen, H. W. - Cretaceous Asteroidea and Ophiuroidea with special reference to the species found in Danmark.

København, C. A. Reitzel, 1950. 4to (25.2 x 16.9 cm). 134 pp.; 18 plates. Contemporary half calf, spine with five slightly raised bands, and gilt title. Edges speckled red. = A taxonomically important study with very good illustrations including those of several new species. Bound in are two related papers (i.e., on the Danish Palaeocene - the era directly following the Cretaceous) from Danmarks Geologiske Undersogelse, viz. Ødum, H., Studier over Daniet i Jylland og paa Fyn. (1926), dealing with faunas including Mollusca and more Echinodermata (306 pp.; three plates, three folded maps). And A. Rosenkrantz, Craniakalk fra Kjobenhavns Sydhavn. (1920) with 79 pp. and two plates, describing and illustrating another Palaeocene fauna with shark teeth, several new Mollusca, etc. The later paper, being the oldest, is the rarest. A very nice, bound item.
