[Gloucester?] [1875?] poster, 380 x 255 mm. Dated and located by reference to the list of patrons: Major Probyn was High Sheriff of Gloucester in 1875. Pinders circus was founded in England in 1854 but soon moved to the continent and became France's most famous circus, still touring today. Mostly consisting of equestrian and acrobatic acts including the Jingling Jumpers of China, Marvellous Bird-like flights and leap of balloons on bare back horse, etc.
