Various sizes. – 106 items A large collection of electoral ephemera covering the middle of the nineteenth century for the important midlands city of Lincoln. These squibs, handbills and posters were generally quickly and cheaply printed often in reaction to very recent events, statements and speeches and show the full range of the knockabout and libellous local politics of the time. It is unusual to find such substantial collections together> this one seems to have been put together contemporaneously. A pdf which illustrates the complete collection is available on request.
