Foleshill, Coventry: W. H. Grant, Manufacturer, (n. d.). ca 1890. Stiff pale green mount with inner gilt border and printed black lettering, backed with an advertisement for other woven silk items on offer from W.H. Grant. Now housed in a clear archival mylar sleeve. Woven silk portrait of Gladstone in b/w with pink and purple woven flowers at base. Portrait: ~ 4-1/2" x 2-5/8". Mount: ~ 6-3/4" x 4-3/8". Tear to head of mount and partially to backing; closed tear to foot of mount; light soil/some loss to paper overlay of mount. Two small faint spots to portrait, else clean and bright. Good condition, withal.
