Period drab paper boards, with front board professionally reattached. Speckled edges. 87, [3] pp. 'Contents' last 2 pages. Frontispiece. 18mo, signed in 6s. 5-3/8" x 3-1/4". Minor wear. Front paste-down never attached to front board, so now acts as ffep & reveals binding technique underneath. A solid VG copy. This children's tale first published by Newbery in 1798; this particular edition's claim to fame results from being an early imprint from the printshop of the distinguished early 19th C. lady printer, Lydia Bailey.
