Presumably from the back of a book, this is a list of four medical works by David Hartley [1705 - 57], philosopher and founder of the Associationist School of psychology. He was an advocate for Mrs Joanna Stephens method for dissolving bladder stones and persuaded Parliament to pay her £5,000 for her secret> he then went on to experiment to find the medicine's chemically active ingredients.
