FRANCKLIN (Thomas): - Sermons on the Relative Duties. The Fourth Edition.

Dublin: Printed for James Moore..., 1788. 8vo, pp. [iv], 176, contemporary lightly speckled calf, morocco label; front joint slightly cracked, spine dried and sunned. Francklin (1721 - 1784) published these sermons about the duties owed by children to parents, parents to children, servants to masters, masters to servants, wives to husbands, and husbands to wives, in 1765. They were reissued in 1770, probably with the same sheets and a cancel title-page. Another edition followed in London in 1787, and this Dublin "fourth edition" was the last edition to be published. ESTC on-line locates 5 copies: L, D, Dm; MiU, OU. Other editions are equally uncommon in ESTC but turn up regularly in the trade.
