Illustrator Laura May Adams Armer was a well-known San Francisco photographer and artist. She also made motion pictures & wrote children's books. Per Howes, most of the edition burned [presumably with the 1906 fire]. 2 copies to auction in the last few decades, with the most recent being 2006.
