Single sheet, printed recto & verso. Large illustration of a dapper couple being served by a waiter with a violin. 9" x 7-3/8" This Creole-American dinner menu comes from Antoine's, the United State's oldest family-run restaurant. "[New Orleans] was the city young Antoine Alciatore adopted, after two frustrating years in New York, to establish a restaurant that would endure under his family's direction for more than 173 years and set the standard that has made New Orleans one of the great dining centers of the world." (per the Antoine's website). The restaurant has played host to some of the most famous figures in American history, and is known for "inventing" some renowned dishes: Oysters Rockefeller, Eggs Sardou & Pompano en Papillote (all of which are found on this menu).
