New York: Harper & Brothers, Publishers, 1851. Hardcover. B&W Illustrations; Half leather (leather spine and corners) with cloth covers. The book is in Very Good condition and was issued without a dust jacket. It appears that the spine joints of the book covers have been repaired by a professional. The spine ends and corners of the book covers have light bumping, rubbing and several small chips missing, or fraying. The text pages are mostly clean and bright. There is an embossed booksellers stamp on the front endpaper and a previous owner's ink stamped name on the front free page and title page. Included are: The Deserted Village by Oliver Goldsmith, The Domestic Life of Alexander, Emperor of Russia by Alexandre Dumas, Personal Appearance and Habits of Robert Southey, by his son, A Sketch of my Childhood, by Thomas de Quincey, Sailing in the Air - History of Aeronautics, and much more.. Very Good .
