Unpublished Manuscript 1951 240pp, fold-out diagram 30x22, half bound morocco over patterned boards Edges worn, spine splitting with piece missing at top, contents very good. This appears to be an English typescript of Byttner's 1951 Swedish language book on the 'Match King' Ivar Kreuger, one of the world's wealthiest and most influential businessmen in the 1920s, who died in mysterious circumstances as his empire collapsed amid (justified) accusations of fraud and financial mismanagment in the aftermath of the Wall Street Crash.It is not clear who produced the translation - the author or the author's publisher with a view to a sale of the English language rights, or someone else for private use - but the use of the Swedish title on the spine suggests the former is more plausible. No English language publication is listed on WorldCat, so this appears to be a unique item.
