Printed list of prisoners (on remand) to appear at the Quarter Sessions for January, 1811 and a list of prisoners serving sentences. Typical crimes included being a Rogue and a Vagabond (usually having run away leaving a wife and children chargeable to the Township), theft (feloniously stealing), failing to give sureties to keep the peace. The prisoners serving sentences were convicted of a range of offences including grand larceny, lewd woman (prostitution), breach of contract, neglect of work and bastardy (the offence of bearing or fathering a child with no means of support leaving it dependent on the township).
