The second edition, with corrected plates, complete in three hardback volumes. 4to (30cm by 24cm), xviii, 66pp; xxiv, 63pp; xvii, 93pp. 223 plates (75 in volume 1, 72 in volume 2, 76 in volume 3). Uniformly and attractively bound in half brown crushed morocco, purple cloth boards, gilt titling and raised bands to the spines, marbled page edges and endpapers. Boards rubbed, bookplate to the front pastedown of each volume, scattered foxing of the contents, gift inscription to each volume. Overall, this is a good to very good set in attractive, solid bindings.
