LAMB, Lynton - Original Artwork for Dust Wrapper to Helen Ashton's Letty Landon.

Collins, 1951. 9¼ x 8 inches. Lynton Lamb [1907 - 1977] was an artists and graphic designer noted for his many book illustrations, poster and stamp designs. He illustrated the 1st Edition of Flora Thompson's Lark Rise to Candleford and designed a dust wrappers for other Oxford University Press and Collins book titles. I offer here a selection of original artwork for some Collins dust wrappers. These are all mounted on card and included printer's notes and paste up annotations. Some are composite illustrations, with additions pasted over the top of the main illustration.
