Frontis, x, 316pp plus 74pp plates. 22x16, red cloth Ex lib, with remains of marks and labels, spine cloth heavily water damaged, with minimal damage to contents which are fair thus (plates are nice and bright); reading or repair copy. One of the best visual records of London's physical development in this period of rapid expansion. The photographs, many of which are not found elsewhere, are particularly valuable. The focus is mainly on central London but there is also material on the suburbs; the Great West Road, Dagenham etc
