'A tribute to the Mother Country in the spirit of the Festival' - the quality of the verse can only be politely described as mixed and of the type so beautifully satirised by Flanders and Swann, but nonetheless a fascinating insight into contemporary attitudes and reactions to the festival. Uncommon.
