XVIII, 292; X, 294 pp.Third and best edition of an extensive manual on agricultural architecture, with additions in both the text and the plates. The work was written by Johann Michael Voit (1771-1846), royal engineer and building-inspector in Augsburg. The first volume concerns the architecture and furnishing of farms, stables, farm-outhouses etc, as well as the architecture of agricultural industrial buildings like breweries, distilleries, tile-works, brick-yards, etc. The second volume is entirely devoted to building materials and the practical construction of the buildings.The marbled paper sides are slightly rubbed, lightly foxed throughout.
