London, The Studio, (1849 in four vols), 1905 new edition edited by Charles Holme. vii, mainly new intro by C Harrison Townsend plus 104 single-sided plates. 29x22, gilt lettered and embossed green cloth. Ex library, with small mark on spine and neat label on fep, couple of other small stamps, very good thus, cover glt particularly nice and bright. Nice reprint of this Victorian viewbook. Nash worked with the elder Pugin and was a gifted draughtsman. This 'Special Winter Number' of the Studio is number 29 in Bryan Holme's definitive bibliography of Special Numbers of the magazine.
