1946. [INCENSE BOXES] Kato^ Gi-ichiro^. KATAMONO KO^GO^ MOULDED INCENSE BOXES. Kyoto: Zenkoku Shobo^, Sho^wa 21 [1946]. 3 vols. The Japanese text volume, 25.6 x 18 cm, is in a hybrid binding, string bound out of single sheets in a blue paper cover with a printed paper label, 188pp. The slightly larger plate volume, 26.7 x 19.4 cm, is in blue matching boards, string bound with paper label, with 144 colur images of incense boxes, usually printed two or three to a page. In addition there is a small pamphlet of 19 pages, containing an English resume of Kato^'s text, done by Harada Jiro^, publishedin 1948. The set is all enclosed in a publisher's chitsu clasped case, made to match, blue with paper label. A very good set [though the chitsu is worn]. Complete. .
