Christie, Agatha - And Then There Were None

 1564969121,
New York, Dodd Mead & Company, 1940. 1st Edition. 1st Edition. First American Edition [March, 1940]. 8vo, 248pp. A rare and good copy in the publisher's original tan cloth boards with top red stain faded with red stamping on the front and spine. Showing some edgewear to the corners and minor bumping to the head and heel of the spine. Portion of previous label on last page. The first edition of AND THEN THERE WERE NONE was published in 1939.UK by Collins Crime Club on 6 November 1939 under a different title (Ten Little N*****s), which was later changed due to offensive language. The original UK title was based on an old nursery rhyme, which also influenced the plot. However, later editions replaced it with a more neutral version, and the novel is now universally known as AND THEN THERE WERE NONE, which was published by Dodd, Mead and Company in 1940. A great addition to any Agatha Christie Collection. very good .
