Joyce, James - Original 11x14 Artprint (#2) After Bernice Abbott

 1563366238,
np, nd. Hardcover. Hardcover. Stunning black and white 7x9 image printed on 11x14 matte stock. Original copyprint in fine condition commissioned by a collector & printed by an artprint maker in an edition of 2 copies after which the negative was destroyed. An insightful image of this famous late 1920's photo taken by Abbott of a seated, pensive Joyce facing left, in white jacket, striped shirt and bow tie with right arm resting on a sofa back, hand to forehead. A scarce portrait of Joyce, who was photographed in the 1920's by Abbott in Paris. Abbott had been Man Ray's photo assistant from 1923-25, and opened her own portrait studio in 1926, at 44 Rue du Bac. She returned to New York in 1929. Abbott subsequently made a few new prints in the late 1950's before this final printing in the 1980's. A beautiful fine image. Frame not included. /Dust Jacket Included.
