A nice association copy inscribed and signed in the year of publication by Norman Holmes Pearson, H. D.'s editor, who wrote the foreword and held the copyright for the book: "To Judson Crews, poet, / Norman Holmes Pearson / Nov. 1972".

Norman Holmes Pearson [1909-1975] was an American academic, author, editor, critic and archivist. He was a leader of the American counterintelligece service [the OSS] and contributed to the founding of the CIA. He was an active figure in American modernist literature, using his personal connections with authors, including H. D. Ezra Pound and Gertrude Stein, to acquire major collections of their work for Yale University. At the same time he used his authoritative position to further the interests of these modernists, obtaining publishers for them and contributing to the success of their best work.

Judson Crews [1917-2010] was an American poet, bookseller and small press publisher. Good .
