Rare first publication by the Hamburger herpetologist Johann Gustav Fischer (1819-1889), on the anatomy and neurology of amphibians with very fine plates drawn by the author. Fischer later published more on reptile and amphibian anatomy. Library stamp on front board top margin and title page, otherwise a very good, clean copy. Nissen ZBI, 1363.
