Included are sections on ornament of savage tribes, the Egyptians, Assyrian and Persian, Greek, Roman, Arabian, Title printed in red and black,157 P. numerous text ills. and 100 full page plates with tissue guards,Byzantine, Turkish, Persian, Indian, Hindoo, Chinese, Celtic, Medieval, Renaissance, Elizabethan, Italian, and leaves and flowers of nature. This issue of the 1910 edition, which consisted of remainder sheets from the 1865 edition with a new title page,and subsequently re-issued in 1928 too, are the last to be printed in this fine technique of the chromolithography. Spine sunned/ discoloured. bookblock broken, many plates loose/loosening, at he opening some mild foxing. Good.
