Later half cloth over marbled boards. Spine with green morocco label with gilt title. original printed front wrapper bound in. = Rare and important contribution to the volcanology of Central America by Karl von Seebach (1839-1880), who planned a large comprehensive monograph on the volcanoes of Central America, based on travels in 1864-1865 but only this small part was published, after his death, by Hermann Wagner. The plates are truly grand. Offprint with new pagination from the Abhandlungen des Königlichen Gesellschaft der Wissenschaften. Small geological bookplate with the initials A. B. mounted on the front pastedown, titlepage mounted and repaired, fore edge of last map with small repairs, otherwise a very good clean copy. Zittel, p. 411.
