Binding is slightly slanted, but still tight. Faint foxing on foredges and equally mild toning to endpapers. Otherwise, text is unmarked. Measures approx. 6.25" x 4.5". McCabe was a former English Catholic priest who left the Church and became a popular Freethought speaker and author. This work is an expansion of his essay "From Rome to Rationalism," critiquing the vowed religious life in light of his experiences in Franciscan educational institutions. G.K. Chesterton included McCabe in his book HERETICS. Very Good .
