Olive endpapers. = Rather rare Irish Flora, with an emphasis on phytogeography and habitats, in its first edition. The subscribers list, in the rear, lists, amongst others, Charles Darwin. Written by the Scottish-Irish botanist David Moore (1808-1879), together with the Curator of the Natural History Museum of the Royal Dublin Society, Alexander Goodman More (1830-1895). Inscribed by the "the authors" (i.e. by Moore) on the front free endpaper recto, to Dr. Martins in Montpellier (France), that is, the professor of natural history and director of the botanical garden in Montpellier, France, Charles Frédéric Martins (1806-1889). Uncut. Top of spine cover chipped, some light, scattered foxing, otherwise very good. Stafleu and Cowan, 6270.
