YOUNG, HAROLD EDGAR. - A PERAMBULATION OF THE HUNDRED OF WIRRAL, IN THE COUNTY OF CHESHIRE.

Liverpool. Henry Young, 1909., With an Account of the Principal Highways & Byways, Old Halls, Ancient Churches, and Interesting Villages Situated between the Rivers Mersey & Dee." Introduction by Wm. Fergusson Irvine. 2nd impression of the first edition, both were published in Oct. 1909. Sadly, this copy can only be described as W.A.F.! Cover is slightly stained, marked in places, lost its colour on top corners, front & back. Front bottom corner is bumped, & top 2 " of half-title torn out, maybe to remove previous owner's details. Even so this is pleasant & interesting to read, obviously written with great affection for the Wirral. The author dedicates it to his father, who in his 87th year cycled 47 miles in one day with his grandson around the Wirral ! ( This gentleman was born in Cornwall & they're a very sturdy lot !) 220 pages. 59 sepia photographs & a map. 9" x 6". Please note ... Sold With All Faults. 1909
