GEMMELL William - The Oldest House in Glasgow Being the Story of Provand's Lordship The Manse and The Hospital.

Glasgow, Hay Nisbet, 1910. Fold-out plan, 171pp. incl 3pp plans, 3pp elevations + 2 plates. Cloth, 19x13. Spine trifle faded and corners bumped, generally a good copy. This ancient house, known as the Provand's Lordship, is on the west side of Cathedral Square. It appears to have been built in the early 1470s. An interesting account, with a good deal of architectural information. Also an attractively produced little book, close to the Mackintosh Glasgow style.
