Originally published as a thesis for a Doctorate this work gives a synopsis of events during the first ten years of German administration. A summary is also given of the period from 1880 when the Nama-Herero war broke out until German annexation. This gives a greater understanding of the issues with which the German Imperial government contended in the early years.
